Getting Started with Services…
-
Step One: Free Consultation
This complimentary call gives us a chance to connect and talk through what you’re hoping to work on. It’s also a space for you to ask questions and get a feel for whether I’m the right fit for your needs before moving forward.
-
Step Two: Intake Appointment
Our first full session is all about understanding your story. We’ll dive deeper into what brought you here, explore the changes you’d like to make, and set meaningful goals together. This creates a roadmap we’ll follow throughout our work.
-
Step Three: Ongoing Sessions
The rhythm of our ongoing sessions will be tailored to you. Together, we’ll decide on a schedule that fits your needs and supports your growth. These sessions provide steady space to reflect, build skills, and create lasting change.
FAQs
-
Getting started is simple - and we’ll take it one step at a time together.
Click the “Schedule Now” here or the button at the top of the website. Once you're on the appointments page, select “Request Appointment” and choose the Free 15-Minute Consultation. After you submit your request, I’ll review it and either confirm the time or offer a different option if needed. We’ll find a time that works for both of us.
During the consultation, we’ll talk about what you’re looking for and make sure it feels like a good fit. If we decide to move forward, you can schedule your first full session - called “Intake Appointment – New Clients Only” - either during our consult or by heading back to that same scheduling link.
Once your intake appointment is approved, you’ll receive an email with everything you need to complete ahead of time. This includes consent forms, a few background questions, and space to set your communication and payment preferences. All paperwork must be completed before our first session - otherwise, we’ll need to reschedule.
You’ll also be asked to add a credit card on file. This helps keep things simple when it comes to billing and ensures session fees can be processed even if you need to cancel late or miss an appointment. It’s part of how I protect the time I’ve set aside for you, and it’s all handled securely through a HIPAA-compliant platform. You’ll always be notified before any charges are made.
If you have questions along the way, I’m here to help. Starting something new can feel like a big step - but we’ll walk through it together.

I'm considered an out-of-network provider, which means I don’t bill insurance companies directly. However, many clients choose to use their out-of-network mental health benefits to receive partial reimbursement for the cost of therapy.
If you’d like to pursue this option, I’m happy to provide a monthly superbill (an itemized receipt) that you can submit to your insurance provider. This document includes the information they typically require to process your claim.
Before we get started, it’s a good idea to call your insurance company and ask a few key questions:
Do I have out-of-network coverage for mental health services?
Is there a deductible I need to meet?
What percentage of therapy costs are reimbursed?
How do I submit superbills for reimbursement?
Still have questions? Feel free to reach out - I’m happy to help you navigate it.

1. More privacy and control over your records.
I keep thorough, ethical records just like any licensed provider - but as an out-of-network clinician, you get to decide what’s shared and with whom. Unlike in-network care, where insurance companies may require access to diagnoses, treatment plans, or progress notes, we maintain your privacy unless you choose otherwise.2. Collaborative and individualized care.
You and I work together to shape your treatment - without insurance companies setting limits or deciding what kind of therapy is “allowed.” This means your care is based on your story, your goals, and what actually works for you - not one-size-fits-all criteria written by someone who’s never met you.3. Freedom to focus on what matters.
Because we're not bound by insurance-driven checkboxes or medical necessity criteria, our work can center around you as a whole person - not just symptoms. That might mean focusing on identity, life transitions, relationships, perfectionism, or burnout - the things that matter but don’t always fit into a billing code. -
I ask for 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your session. Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged the full session fee. This helps me protect time for all the clients I serve.
If you’re attending a group, workshop, or intensive, the cancellation policy may differ - feel free to ask and I’ll walk you through it.
-
All sessions are held virtually, so we can meet wherever you are - whether that’s your office, your couch, or somewhere in between. It’s flexible, easy to fit into your day, and still allows for meaningful, personal connection.

PSYPACT is an interstate compact which offers a voluntary expedited pathway for practice to qualified psychologists who wish to practice in multiple states. PSYPACT is designed to facilitate the practice of telepsychology and the temporary in-person, face-to-face practice of psychology across state boundaries. In order to practice telepsychology in PSYPACT states, psychologists licensed in PSYPACT states only, can apply to the PSYPACT Commission for an Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT). In order to conduct temporary practice in PSYPACT states, psychologists licensed in PSYPACT states only can apply to the PSYPACT Commission for a Temporary Authorization to Practice (TAP). The PSYPACT Commission is the governing body of PSYPACT and is comprised of one representative from each PSYPACT state.
